AGARTALA, Aug 19 (TIWN): After 3 live talk-shows from USA by Tripurainfoway (TIWN) Editor Saumen Sarkar from USA exposing Tripura health care system’s deteriorating situations, oxygen pipe leakage, finally there are rays of development of the situation as 185 oxygen concentrators were distributed in GB and other centres. In a tweet CM Biplab Deb has announced, To strengthen the fight against COVID19, 185 Oxygen concentrators have been distributed in all Covid Hospitals & CCCs for better management of critical patients. We have also received 824 Pulse Oxymeters which are being sent to the patients in Home Isolationâ€. However, amid all these positive development, Chief Minister yet to announce about Oxygen Pipeline leakage update at the GB hospital which is continuously coming in the media reports.
Reacting over the situation, on August 10 TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar, “From February month, there are shortage of Oxygen due to supply chain’s pipe’s leakage. The dept failed to fix the issue even after much requests. 60 to 50 PSI pressure is must for oxygen for the COVID-19 Patients but they are not getting even 4”, Saumen Sarkar stated in his live video.
“GB hospital’s COVID-Ward’s oxygen shortage has caused around 40 deaths in GB COVID-19 ward. When we file news, Govt immediately attacks such news publications as a Fake News, but what would you say now ?"
On August 8, Tripura Congress senior leader Gopal Roy on Saturday has alleged that there are acute crisis of Oxygen for the patients in ICU, COVID-Centre in GB hospital due to technical problems. He said, in the month of February this issue was raised before the concerned authority but the problem remained unsolved.
Till now total 62 persons have died in Tripura from COVID-19.
