AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): In the irony of post-independence period under the BJP’s rule, Freedom of Speech’s miserable status is now an open secret. From media to social media Govt led attacks, Fake News allegations, use of police machinery were never felt at least in Tripura like now before the BJP Govt.

Minister Ratanlal Nath can not be spared from allegations as ‘snatcher’ of freedom-of-speech as he is in the limelight of Tripura cabinet and when a BJP MLA was summoned by High Court, how the Minister interfered in that matter, it raised eye-brows. In social media, users are 10 times more arrested than the previous other Govt was in Tripura.

This analysis was necessitated as the Minister today thanked Freedom Fighters for giving India freedom and giving him an opportunity to become a Minister using his right as Indian citizen as India is no more controlled by British or any foreign authority.
