AGARTALA, Aug 5 (TIWN): On the death anniversary of Lt Shivdas Ghosh, SUCI has paid tribute to him.

Addressing media on the occasion, SUCI General Secretary, Tripura Arun Bhowmik said, “Today due to COVID-19, our country’s opposition voices are suppressed, locked in homes. Taking the opportunity, Central Govt has been taking one after one anti-people decisions like privatizing various Govt sectors”.

“Only .5% of the GDP is being used in Education purpose. In this condition, SUCI has raised certain demands with banners in hands, as SUCI is a revolutionary party”, said SUCI General Secretary.

Banners like “Fascist National Education policy should be withdrawn”, “Extra fares in transports must be immediately stopped”, “Announcing of economic package for poor sections of people”, “Withdrawal of the decisions taken to suppress the opponent voices” were displayed during the protest.
