AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): In an upsetting hearing for the Doctors supporters, Tripura Police failed to take the accused persons under custody who were allegedly involved in “Spitting" on Doctor Sangeeta Chakraborty in Bhagat Singh COVID-19 Care Centre on July 24 amid an argument between Doctors and Patients. Talking to media, the Govt side advocate APP Dipa Bhattacharya said, Police had appealed for 5 days police custody for the accused persons but after the hearing they have received interim bails and bailed out till 29th of August.

These four COVID-19 patients were booked after they allegedly abused and spat on the woman doctor at Bhagat Singh COVID-19 Care Centre here on July 24.

A police official said that the four accused, who have recovered from the disease, are arrested after the completion of their seven-days institutional quarantine period.
