AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN): Former Health Minister Sudip Barman has reminded West District Magistrate Sandeep Mahatme about Health Guidelines, rejecting his notice which asked Sudip Barman to go for institutional quarantine at AD Nagar. In a letter Sudip Barman has clearly told him, “As long as I am clinically assigned as very mild/mild, moderate, severe symptomatic / asymptomatic COVID-19 Patient by a medical officer, I would not be available to go for any sort of quarantineâ€. He pointed out, “I would like to respond that the memorandum signed by you is not accordance to the guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfareâ€. He said, first of all, he is not yet COVID-19 positive and secondly during the visit, he was wearing PPEs.
DM West Sandeep Mahatme issued a notification, directing, MLA Sudip Barman to go for institutional quarantine after he visited Bhagat Singh COVID-19 Care Centre.
He also asked, why the SP, DM like persons could live in Home Isolation, not in quarantine ?
