AGARTALA, November 24 (TIWN): When alongwith the whole state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state committee geared up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in Tripura, on the other hand, corruption tainted CPI (M) is on a race to save the image of its scam tainted Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. And this must be their another counter strategy when the 20 CPIM MLAs had already left for Delhi today to stage a sit-in-demonstration that will be lead by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on MGNREGA issue.

Talking to TIWN, the BJP state committee secretary Tapas Bhattacharjee said that the party’s preparations are on a peak for PM Modi’s visit here in Tripura. He said, the key issues that will be highlighted during Modi’ visit include recent Tripura scams and corruption and over all lack of development of Tripura. Mr. Bhattacharjee further informed that the BJP state President Sudhindra Das Gupta, who went to Delhi to attend a party meeting, will arrive here in Tripura tomorrow. And then after, the BJP state committee will sit for a meeting ahead of PM Modi’s visit.

However, but it is to be mentioned here that when the massive corruption had gripped the state Tripura tight, on the other Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been scheduled to visit here in Tripura. And this must be another worry for the Tripura govt. right now as the left front and the CPI (M) had already been deep necked in corruption and scams, especially pertaining to misuse of central funds.  

What makes the story interesting is that the CPI (M) and the left front are on a race now to save their "clean Chief Mnster", whose close aide BDO Bimal Chakraborty allegedly involved in massive Tripura corruption and scams.

As per strategy, left backed MLAs had already left for Delhi  today to stage a sit-in-demonstration on November 26, that will be lead by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to protest the dilution of the MGNREGA scheme here in Tripura by the central govt.

It is to be mentioned here that what really made the Tripura govt. to protest the dilution of the MGNREGA scheme in Tripura when once the internal audit report of Bishalgarh RD block exposed misappropriation of government funds of Rs. 2, 22, 21, 964 without executing works against work orders issued under MGNREGA? Not only that, many unspent funds are returning back to Centre due to inept officials.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make his visit here in Tripura on December 1, 2014 for the inauguration of the Tripura Palatana Gas based Thermal Power Project Unit – II, whereas on the other hand, Tripura CM Manik Sarkar to lead a sit-in-demonstration at Delhi on November 26 in protest of the curtailment of MGNREGA scheme in Tripura.
