AGARTALA, November 24 (TIWN): All India Trinamool Congress General Secretary Mukul Roy would be visiting Tripura in the middle of December to take stock of the current state of affairs of the party, said a high level party source here today.

The source further said that after all the recent multicrore scams of the state came to light people are losing their faith from CPI (M). At present from minister to CPIM party workers remain deep necked in corruption. The people are unable to trust the CPI (M) Party any more, the source added.

The high level party source criticized Tripura’s Left Front government for under-development and silence in the national politics over problems of the state. “Tripura had political stability for the past 2 decades. How come poverty is still rising and development is running at such slow pace?” he asked. He slammed the state government over its industrial policies.

"We have already launched a strong movement against the CPIM and discard the politics of Congress. We have no doubt in snatching power from the CPIM in the next Assembly elections in this state,"the high level party source mentioned. “Our leader Mukul Roy would be visiting the state to take stock of the latest situation and suggest new measures that might be pertinent”, he added.

The source also criticized the CPIM government over issues of spurious-drug, atrocities against women, corruption, malfunctioning of PDS, chit fund, deterioration of law and order, underdevelopment of tribal people and deprivation of employees during the agitation. The 21-year misrule has resulted in the state being labeled the least developed state in the country. Corruption has mushroomed in every sphere, the high level party source claimed.
