AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has decided to reduce the school syllabus this year due to massive COVID-19 outbreak. However, amid pandemic, examinations will be held in time. Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath has announced that no school, college can be opened for now. Addressing media, Ratanlal Nath said, "Students must prepare for exams. Joint entrance examinations will be in time and thus, students should be prepared for it. It will be also taken care whether any other test would not clash with joint entrance exam dates. Most importantly, 10 days have been kept to take decision how the final exam of Colleges will be take as per UGC guideline. As per UGC, the tests may be online or offline. But let's wait for 10 days. Thus, we have ordered the Colleges to complete all internal examinations by August 15".
On the other side, the opposition had demanded that no exam should be taken in this COVID-19 pandemic when IIT like institutions have cancelled exams.
