AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Addressing the community leaders at State Guest House on socio-economic growth of Indigenous Section, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has asserted that his Govt will provide water connectivity to all Tripurians by 2022, month of December. “I don’t want to criticize anyone but the role of Govt under previous one was truly unsatisfactory. Food to everyone is important to provide, but the Food issue even comes after water, because without water, one can’t survive but the previous Govt kept the people deprive of that which is really unsatisfactory. I promise that by 2022, December, everyone in this state will get their rights. Works are underwayâ€, said CM. However it is to be seen how far Chief Minister’s promise results in reality after the ADC election, as BJP’s various promises before 2018 Assembly Election have not resulted in reality.
The Chief Minister held meeting with all community and discussed about their issues. Various demands were placed before the Chief Minister including acceptance of customary laws in the ADC areas.
MLA Rampada Jamatia, led by Jamatia Hoda’s demand sought that all indigenous people of Tripura should be called as Tripuri but not to be divided into Debbarma, Jamatia like parts.
CM assured them that their all demands to be seen seriously and public distresses to be removed.
