AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): In a pathetic incident, a 42 years old mother Selina Aktar with her son Mh. Fajale Rabbi (26) and another person Mh. Asfak Us Salehin (22) were seen in miserable condition as they are stuck in Agartala due to lockdown and Akhaura checkpost's closure. The mother and the son came to India with Medical VISA on 12th March, 2020. In Bengaluru’s private hospital, she had undergone a bypass surgery. Then on June 6, they came to Tripura via flight with plan to return back to Bangladesh via Akhaura Checkpost. They are residents of Morodpur of Comilla. But after BSF Jawans were found COVID-19 positive, the checkpost was closed till June 12. For long 4 months they are in India and as a result are now suffering from financial crisis. In this situation medical expenditure also have turned very costly for them, neither any proper food they are getting.

The family have requested to help them to return country. From Bangladesh High Commissioner Office also they did not get much help.

Another Bangladesh Citizen named Asfak Us Salehin (22) was also present with them, who is now residing in a hotel in Agartala to the next room of the family. He is also a victim of the same circumstances.
