AGARTALA, November 18 (TIWN): In the ongoing controversy of the termination of 10323 teachers jobs suspense has now deepened as the numbers of teachers terminated by the Division Bench of the High Court and the numbers showing in the Special Leave Petition (SLP) submitted by the Govt of Tripura in Supreme Court of India are quite different and contradictory. In point no 1 of the SLP submitted by the state govt it is categorically written," The petitioners above named respectfully submit this petition seeking special leave to appeal against the common impugned judgment and order dated 07/05/2014 PASSED IN WRIT PETITION(C)NO 51 OF 2014,511 OF 2010,208 OF 2010....by the Hon'ble High Court of Tripura at Agartala whereby the High Court has quashed the Revised Employment Policy ,2003 being unconstitutional and set aside the entire selection process of postgraduate teachers, graduate teachers and undergraduate teachers . As a result of which livelihood of 10394 Government Teachers are at stake."
Again in the second paragraph of SYNOPSIS of the SLP it is written ," The present case deals with an order of High Court of Tripura which has in one sweep set aside the appointments of 10394 teachers at all level of appointment." Now the questions that all the people of the state want to know are placed below that can only be clarified by the state govt:-
1) What is the actual number of teachers terminated by High Court in its judgement on 7/5/2014?
2) Is there any difference between the actual number given in HC Judgement and in the SLP submitted in the Supreme Court of India?
3) If so which one is true- number in HC Judgement or in SLP ?
4) If the HC Judgement number is correct who is telling lies?
5) If the number in SLP is correct why has yhe state govt so far been suppressing the number 10394?
It is to be mentioned here that HC terminated only the jobs of 10323 teachers. But in SLP an additional no if 71 teachers is included. Now all on a sudden when the state govt has also submitted an Interlocatory Appeal in the Supreme Court demanding stay order on ' termination of 10323 teachers' ,entire state is willing to have a correct and clear response from the state govt regarding the suspense over number of teachers terminated by the HC Judgement.
