AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): The Citizens Collective against COVID-19 has continued social works statewide, now stood with stranded migrant people who are suffering.

Getting informed by eminent Advocate, Secretary of the Citizens Collective against COVID-19 Purushottom Roy Barman about the pathetic condition of migrant families from Rajasthan where a new born baby is residing with more little children and they do not have food, he started calling people of that area.

But after many attempts, due to lockdown, it turned tough to get a person to reach there as it was already 9.30 pm and curfew. But, a local Mithun Chanda after getting phone call from Purushottom Roy Barman walked 2 km at night and distributed food and also milk for the babies.

In the same way, in Chandrapur there are migrant laboueres from West Bengal, were helped by Citizens Collective against COVID-19. Rice, Daal, Wheat, vegetables, soya chunks, oil were distributed among them.
