AGARTALA, May 22 (TIWN): CPI-M's tribal wing Ganamukti Parishad's (GMP) president and former MP Jitendra Chowdhury alleged that BJP-IPFT led government is not taking necessary steps for the indigenous people of Tripura.
Before 2018 assembly election IPFT made a lot of promises for the betterment of Tripura's ADC area which turned out as complete JUMLA.
Chowdhury while talking to media said,"If the central government wants to do anything for the indigenous people of Tripura, one week is enough for that. They don't need months or years to prove that they are concerned about us , that only shows the ignorance towards not only indigenous but all the people of Tripura."
Chowdhury also added, "They are trying to make people fool. By hundreds of promises in Vision Document before 2018 assembly election BJP won the majority and came to the power , now why they aren't fulfilling a single promise. The Visio Document of BJP is nothing but a complete JUMLA."
Chowdhury also asked Central government to keep an eye on the poor condition of Tripura's indigenous people in hilly areas who are in pathetic condition and starving during the pandemic.
