AGARTALA, May 15 (TIWN): Total numbers of COVID-19 Patients in Tripura are 125 right now as out of 156 cases 29 recovered and 2 were transferred to other states. On yesterday night, also many patients were released from the GB hospital. In evening press conference, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath hinted that 13 patients most likely to be released today and under treatment patients are 60 in GB, 64 in Bhagat Singh Yuva Awas, 1 in Shalbagan. Total persons under personal surveillance 15,382, Facilitating quarantine 334, Home Quarantine 2759 (to be increased due to stranded people’s arrival schedules), Sample collected 12,535 and tested 11,804, positive 156, cured 29 and 125 are under treatment. A three-member central team arrived here on Thursday to study the coronavirus infection among the Border Security Force (BSF) troopers and their kin, as the positive cases in Tripura climbed to 152.

The central team, led by G.K. Medhi, Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine of the Shillong-based North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), will study the source and other aspects of the coronavirus infection among troopers, officials and their family members.
