AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Assam Rifles under the aegis of 21 Sector Assam Rifles and IGAR (East) reached out to the workers on the occasion of International Workers' Day and distributed cooked meals, medical kits and reusable masks made by personnel of Assam Rifles. The workers at Meglipara, Khayerpur in West Tripura district Khowai in Khowai district and Radhanagar in Unakoti district were provided assistance by the Assam Rifles.

The distribution of cooked meals and reusable masks was undertaken to assist the workers  in combating the lock down conditions of COVID-19 Pandemic.

A total of 71 worker families at khowai, 150 worker families  at Meglipara khayerpur  and  22 worker families at Radhanagar were provided assistance by the Assam Rifles.

The efforts of Assam Rifles to reach out to the workers was appreciated and lauded by the locals and civil administration.
