AGARTALA , April 21 (TIWN): Tripura BJP exposed Syandan Editor Subal Dey's drama of hiding his crimes under the mask of Journalism, misusing the terms of 4th pillar of democracy. Criminal Subal after getting caught red-handed in AAI Fake Job Scam, now badmouthing against Chief Minister & Police as Police raided Subal's home and Syandan office. “Media has a bigger responsibility to save people from Cheaters”, BJP spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty has requested Agartala Press Club and other machineries to review their stand against BJP-IPFT Govt and Police’s steps as “Attack on Fourth Pillar of Democracy” after Police started AAI Fake Job Advertisement Investigation against Syandan Newspaper. On Sunday(19/4/2020) night,officials filed FIR against Subal Dey for forgery, organized scam by forging AAI ( Airport Authority of India) documents to lure innocent Job seekers, case 61/2020, IPC sections 468,471,420, minimum 7 yrs imprisonment.

Addressing from State BJP Headquarter at Agartala Krishnanagar, BJP Spokesman said, “What Police and Govt are doing are very basic legal formalities which are necessary to find out the culprits behind such types of fake job scams. Because, this is not the first time that Fake Job Advertisement has fooled the people but earlier also, many people have been deceived in same ways. So, it is very important to investigate the matter to find out the actual culprits behind it. Saving people from fraudsters is not only a duty of Govt but a major responsibility goes to the media houses also, while publishing such advertisements. We, hope the true statement will come out and people will not be misled by such statements against police and authority when they are doing their basic jobs”.

“The FIR was filed on behalf of AAI in Airport PS and then referred to West Agartala PS as the newspaper office is under West Agartala PS”, he added.

Referring BJP-IPFT Govt’s positive steps towards media and journalists, Subrata Chakraborty stated, “In 2017, two journalists of Tripura were killed. BJP promised to conduct CBI investigation in both cases and BJP Govt kept its promise. In case of Agartala Press Club also, Govt allocated for Press Club upgradation. For senior journalists, there are pensions and it has ten times increased. In Barjala, constructions held for journalists’ residences”.

“Govt also increased advertisement rates for news media and increased numbers of accreditation cards, recognized webmedia journalists to have their accreditation cards too. So, calling our Govt is against fourth pillar of democracy is just a misguiding statement”, said Subarata Chakraborty.

The FIR was filed on 18th April and Police raided Syandan paper on 19th with proper papers. The whole issue started with a fake job advertisement publication which is allegedly run by none other than his own people.

Tripura Police on Sunday night and Monday raided Syandan Editor Subal Dey's home, interrogated him & sons for involvement in AAI Fake Job Scam. 

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's bold stand against corruption appreciated by all corners of State public. Apart from Police raids, under State Govt's instructions,Subal Dey & his close coterie were forcefully removed from Tripura Govt's Media monitoring committee. 

BJP Govt's tough stand against media mafia Subal Dey generated huge public support as Subal Dey misused CM's name, marketed his close proximity to continue various corruptions. Airport Authority of India Director V.K.Seth strongly condemned a FAKE Job advertisement published on AAI's name in Synadan Patrika on 16/04/2020 which asking candidates to file for AAI Jobs in a scummer website crewaviationservices.com, which in turn collects money to cheat unemployed youths.  AAI, a Govt of India Public sector entity strongly denied any such Advts,via Press release AAI Director requested Job Applicants not to fall in traps.

Subal Dey's criminal empire was fully patronized by his two Godfathers, former CMs Manik Sarkar & Samir Ranjan Barman, under both Chief Ministerships, Syandan Patrika was allowed to become a class A news paper in ICAT , even though official circulation figure shown was 51000 but only 3000 copies are printed in average daily.

Subal Dey never wrote a single word against Manik Sarkar during former CM's 20 years reign in power, however Subal Dey never spared CPI-M's other leaders Jiten Chaudhury, Badal Chowdhury, rest of CPI-M leadership. In return, Manik Sarkar gifted Syandan a class A category Newspaper, crores of rupees worth of Govt Advertisements during 20 yrs.
