AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 19 (TIWN): On the Day-5 of Tripura Lockdown 2.0, police are on duty, keeping strict vigil across the state. Northeast State Tripura, which was recorded with only 2 positive cases, now almost wheeling back to COVID19-Free status. After releasing the first patient from hospital, state announced the second patient is also stable. Govt has taken various initiatives of free ratioing, helping the migrants and also paying the stuck people of Tripura in other states with an estimated budget of Rs. 3.88 crores. Police at the same time, are also engaged in Mass Awareness drive on COVID19 to keep people in home with displaying banners to #Stay_Home. For the Jhumias Govt announced Rs. 1000 along with free ration for 3 months, for flower businessmen Rs. 2000 was announced to boost the flouriculture tradition which was recently getting a major economic boost in pre-lockdown period.
However, reports came that due to access passes, on national highway, traffic movement increased on Saturday.
In market places, only 10 persons are given passes with row-system under access control gates.
Two major private hospitals TMC, ILS have opened their OPDs as free after State Govt instructed the hospital authorities to do the same.
On Saturday, Education dept declared Class-I to Class-IX and Class-XI students ‘pass’ with TV channels led online classes started today onwards. Evaluations of students will be done at 100% by subject teachers and class teachers.
Copy checking of completed board examinations to be started after April 20 with free transport facility with social distancing for the teachers.
