AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 17 (TIWN): Tripura’s Disaster Relief Funds are being utilized for stranded people in other states and also the migrant workers of other states inside state.
Chief Minitser Biplab Deb has announced about the details of fund utilization.
Through State Disaster Relief Fund these following things have been done :
1) 188 person stranded at Tripura Bhawans received the benefit & Rs. 11.99 lakhs (Rs. 4.47 lakhs for food & Rs. 7.51 lakhs for room rent). Total estimated expenditure is Rs. 22.07 lakhs.
2) 1779 people stranded outside Tripura Bhawan got the benefit-- total amount involved is Rs. 43.85 lakhs. Total estimated expenditure is Rs.3.88 crore.
3) Relief for people including homeless & migrants (including inter-state brick kiln workers) stranded within the state: Distribution of financial assistance of Rs. 1000 is under process and dry ration of 31.90 per person has also been also provided. Rs. 2.85 crore is provisioned for providing support to 25025 persons for 19 days. Additional amount will also be provided for 2nd phase.
4) SDRF placed so far: Health Rs. 5.52 crore/ GA (SA) 12.99 lakhs/ DM(W) :0.84 lakhs (for 45 people stranded outside State).
