AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): Tripura senior Congress leader Gopal Roy has demanded free door to door services of Ration commodities for the poor and middle class people during curfew and lockdowns.
Addressing media, Roy said, “It is true that PM Modi has announced a Janata Curfew and we all will observe that but we can not forget that there are many people who can not have two times meals if curfew is imposed and specially if it is extended. That is why, Govt must give free ration door services to the poor”.
“Prevention is better than cure. So we have to maintain this, but the people who are poor, daily labours, rickshaw drivers who lives on their daily incomes, they should be given enough space to live”, said Gopal Roy.
BPL and lower middle class people should be benefited with the service. 68% people in Tripura are BJP and they should have their minimum meals, said Roy.
On the other side, Congress has cancelled all programmes, meetings centering Corona-Virus.
