CM was addressing in a cultural fest of the indigenous people in Agartala when said so. Deb said around 21,000 crores of more funding happened due to his frequent Delhi visits.
The controversy erupted after Congress leader Gopal Roy March 3rd on the completion of BJP’s 2 years of victory said, in last 24 months, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has visited Delhi at least 13 times.
This is only about Delhi visit whereas other states as West Bengal, Northeast states, Kerala etc were visited by CM.
Roy raised the issues while mentioning fund crisis situation existing in state amid Govt’s tall claim of “Double Engine”.
“17% DAs are pending ! One the one said, Govt saying no fund crisis and again, Finance Minister accepting fact of fund crisis and the Chief Minister is traveling Delhi. 13 times he visited Delhi ! Where did the funds go ? Only development is seen in CM’s quarter at 9 Star level”, said Gopal Roy.
