AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Feb 19 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s department is involved allegedly in a massive tender corruption, which was exposed by his own party MLA in the Assembly.

The major scam was to handing over projects for National Highway without tender. Allegedly, Delhi based corrupt officials and even few politically power top leaders are accused in nexus of the recently exposed national highway tender scam.

In 23 months of BJP Govt along with various other scams as recruitment scams, two departmental scams came out, which have hit the public trust further on the Govt.

After cancer medicine scam was exposed after a verdict in High Court, now BJP Govt’s own MLA Sudip Barman had raised question on tender-allocation corruption in causing a scam of Rs. 450 cores.

But no action was taken according to expectation as after the Depts like PWD is held by Chief Minister himself.

It is said in the allegation that whereas from 2015-16, 2016-17,2017-18 FYs continuously we were conducting the national highway construction, maintenance works by State PWD, but what suddenly in 2018-19 after BJP Govt in an urgent mode, handed over the national highway construction project to outside company that is NHIDCL without tender which has costed massive revenue incomes. Also that decision was not taken in Cabinet and without tender handing over projects is obviously a serious crime.
