AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): To fight back BJP’s controversial, dividing political methods which are its basic policy to suppress the real issues, CPI-M’s indigenous wing Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) has started new phrase “No to CAA, Yes to Education, Employmentâ€, in a voice to raise “real issues†and to stop “dividing†rules. A massive rally was organized in Agartala against CAA along with 17 more demands.Out of them, GMP opposed Govt’s decision of shutting down 961 schools in ADC area. . ‘Double Ration’ for ADC, Filling up Vacant Posts, MGNREGA, inclusion of Kokborok in 8th schedule, scrap decision of ADC school shutdown raised in demands of the GMP.Today’s rally was massive with unending rows. This rally once again has proven that CPI-M has not yet lost its grip in the indigenous vote banks and the regional parties and the IPFT have to do a lot of hardwork to overcome it. The rally was led by former CM Manik Sarkar and also indigenous leaders as ADC CEM Radha Charan Debbarma, GMP President Jitendra Choudhury and all indigenous leaders.
“We oppose closer of any school in state” banner was displayed by women in a befitting reply to BJP-IPFT’s narrow Educational policies.
BJP before election promised to give 50,000 Govt jobs in 1-year. This rally was also a part to remind that unfulfilled promise.
