AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratanlal Nath on Friday while addressing in an Educational programme claimed that “Education is the most prioritized Dept of the BJP Govt”. Nath’s statement yet controversial as Govt far from recruiting qualified teachers whereas around 2000 youths are yet jobless and Govt is set to shutdown 961 schools. The Minister was addressing at Modern Higher Secondary School. Shutting down of 961 schools’ decision was taken by BJP Govt when over two thousands of unemployed youths are roaming jobless even after qualifying the TET Examination.Instead of recruiting teachers and staffs to mitigate the massive unemployment rate, Govt has taken decision to minimize numbers of schools and thus decade-long struggles of common men which constructed 961 schools across hills and plain areas of Tripura were announced to shutdown, which is another black-history painted by the BJP Govt by three factors losses to the common men.From hilly, poverty gripped state, Tripura today has turned successfully the highest literacy rate holding state in Tripura, with massive politically aware. But by deciding to shutdown schools, BJP has done the ultimate damage of hit the Education flow in the state.

Tripura now has over 2000 TET Qualified unemployed youths but jobless.Resentments erupted due to alleged tough question-papers and few out of syllabus. After passing through such situations, when youths left jobless, Govt is proceeding to shutdown schools.

It also a strike to the Jana-Siksha-Movement led by people of Tripura. That movement if is seen politically that it will be narrow perspective.

Ratanlal Nath’s controversial statements continue however. On yesterday, he, said that journalists do not understand budget.

He slammed media, accused for misleading the people. Nath’s statement came after Northeast didn’t get anything from the budget and his Govt imposed 26% taxes on common men.

On being asked by media about financial issues, said that no financial crisis was felt in Tripura at all.

 Nath statement came amid massive MGNREGA work crisis in the state, Govt’s inability to give jobs, shutting down of 961 schools and far from promise fulfillment.

Moreover, BJP Govt has increased huge taxes, scrapped free medical health service and placed zero-deficit budget. Massive terminations, electricity bill hikes also took place under the BJP Govt.

However, Nath said, due to CPI-M Govt’ failure to provide Utilization Certificates to centre, many funding were slashed/paused.
