Rape accused released from Police Station allegedly under ruling Party’s pressure in Tripura

AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): One rape accused person was released from Police Station allegedly under ruling Party’s pressure in Tripura.
This incident took place at Baikhora’s West Charakbai Gram Panchayat area.
The rape accused named Maran Baidya (Kartik) is a BJP leader raped a woman in Mog Para. To save him, ruling party’s members became active and allegedly put pressure on the victim family to withdraw the case.
But, the victim housewife denied to compromise but the party people, took the accused away from police station. This incident has created turmoil, generated tension in that area.
Massive resentment fueled against the Baikhora Police.
