AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): Worried, tensed LIC employees, workers expressed concerns about their future and said, the sale of LIC’s part is a big conspiracy and corporate lobbyism, where people saved their hard earned money. Today, LIC employees kept their duties off for 1 hour in protest against the decision of the BJP government’s part-selling of LIC. This protest is continuing all over the Country. Employees, agents, depositors all have expressed tension about their savings and future. The stir stated after Modi government announced to sell the shares of LIC. Protesting the decision taken by the BJP government, the Employees of LIC came on the roads on Monday and even on Tuesday. On Tuesday, all over the country the LIC employees kept their duties off for one hour, protesting against the decision taken by the government.All over the Country, the employees are protesting against the decision taken by the ruling government.

The protesters demands, where almost every company and organizations are facing loss, there the Modi government took the decision to sell the shares of LIC which is running at a profit. 

When the company is running on a wholesome profit, there this kind of decision of the BJP government would create a huge question mark on the future of the LIC.

All India Insurance Employees Association’s Joint Secretary, Jayanta Mukharjee said, “Protesting against the decision of the government to sell the shares of LIC, we are going to stop our duties for one hour all over the Country”.

After Union Minister Mirmala Sitaraman declared this decision of the ruling BJO government, a state of horror and insecurity developed amongst the LIC Agents and employees, along with those who have invested their money in it.

The Agents expressed huge angst and insecurity saying that, “This kind of decision taken by the BJP government is not acceptable. We have struggled from a long time to create a state of belief and trust among the LIC customers and this would tarnish our efforts”.

“We have to bound the central govt to stop from selling of LIC. We call people to join protest with us”, said LIC employees, agents.
