AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): Veteran CPI-M Leader Badal Chowdhury turned a victim of dirty politics since few months as a group of dirty politicians from BJP and CPI-M both parties who wanted to see the honest Ex-Minister’s sufferings. From confirmed sources from Melarmath State CPI-M office, 2 months back when Eminent Lawyer Bikash Bhattacharjee fought back in first two hearings, a section of CPI-M leaders led by Goutam Das created such situations that Advocate Bikash Bhattacharjee was not invited again to represent Badal Chowdhury in High Court proceedings, rather Goutam Das engaged CPI-M’s medicore Lawyer Haribal Debnath to represent Badal Chowdhury. Due to impending arrest threats for involvement in Rose Valley Scam, Goutam Das allegedly cut a deal via his niece’s husband Dilip Roy who happens to be OSD of CM Biplab Deb. Due to the deal, Goutam Das escaped arrests by Biplab Deb’s Police, but compromised Badal Chowdhury’s Legal case so that veteran leader undergoes severe tortures to satisfy Biplab’s revenge.
Goutam Das’s close allegiance to BJP, specifically to Biplab Deb seemed evident when being a CPI-M Spokesman, Goutam Das quite unnecessarily voiced protest against Sudip Barman’s Jan 3,2020 rally, so that Biplab Deb gets pleased with Goutam Das’s anti-Sudip stand.
Badal Chowdhury’s legal defence was never allowed to flow strongly, rather Goutam Das engaged various Lawyers with no co-ordinations on Case proceedings. Even Goutam Das was annoyed when Advocate Arindam Bhattacharjee, Advocate Raghunath Bhattacharjee won the case against Badal Chowdhury in Udaipur Court recently.
Badal Chowdhury already undergoing 75 days Jail custody on a false case even though CPI-M Party didn’t feel the need to hire a professional Criminal Lawyer from Kolkata or Delhi.
