AGARTALA, Nov 6 (TIWN): Rather than criticizing Tripura Govt for pushing 10323 teachers lives to peril, Tripura Govt. Teachers Association (TGTA) on Thursday appealed all 10,323 terminated teachers to keep faith on Supreme Court’s judgment. TGTA today held a convention at Agartala, Umakanta Academy ground.

Speaking to the TIWN, the TGTA President Swapan Bol said that confusion occurred among all 10,323 teachers as weather their jobs will be terminated or be saved. Therefore the TGTA on Thursday while staging a convention appealed the terminated teachers to keep faith on SC’s judgment.  Whatever decision the honorable SC takes will move in favor of them, said Mr. Bol.

Moving to a flash back the Division Bench of High Court headed by Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta and Justice Swapan Ch. Das earlier on May 7 cancelled 10, 323 Graduate, Post Graduate and Under Graduate teacher’s posts terming the state govt. employment policy to be illegal and later on its judgment asked them to continue their service till December 31, 2014. On the other the State Govt. had filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court challenging the HCs verdict. Accordingly the Supreme Court of India is now all set to hear the case on January 9, 2015. On the other hand the state govt. has recently filed an interlocutory application to the Supreme Court to save the terminated teachers.

Now, will the jobs of all 10,323 terminated teachers be saved? Will the decision of the Supreme Court save them? or the state govt. is again all set to brainwash the terminated teachers? Though it’s only a time that will answer the questions.
