AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Jan 7 (TIWN): Tripura High Court had issued notice to the Govt of Tripura, seeking its response on the regularization process for Govt employees and asked to give reply within 24 days but reportedly in the hearing Govt of Tripura failed to reply the Court. When Court asked the petitioners whether they have any evidence of other states had regularized SSA teachers, they said they have evidences and displayed papers before Court. Then court asked the Govt side, but the lawyers said they could not contact other states and said by talking to Education Minister and Principal Secretary within 15 days, reply to be given. Reportedly, in 2016, one SSA Teacher Manoj Debbarma filed a case in Tripura High Court about the regularization matter. Manoj Debbarma is a primary teacher under SSA and appointed from 2005 but even after 15 years of his job as contract teacher teaching in State Govt schools, he wasn’t regularized like his other colleagues.

For long 16 years these teachers are working under SSA but not regularized and now this  notice of the High Court has ushered a new hope among the 10323 teachers about regularization. Along with Manoj Debbarma, other teachers  as Anarjit Debbarma, Bhagyeswar Nath, Bipul Debbarma, Bharateshar Chakma.

BJP before Assembly Election 2018, promised to regularize all Govt employees including RMSA and  SSA. Tripura BJP in its pre-poll promise scripted in the Vision Document  about regularization all Contractual Employees. In the Vision Document, published by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in No-10 promise, it was said, "BJP will REGULARIZE CONTRACTUAL Govt Employees".

The SSA Teachers also helped the BJP-IPFT to come in power, but the cabinet decision announced by Ratan Lal Nath on March 29 (2018), even though brought temporary "impression" of relief, but internally SSA teachers were not satisfied with the 180 degree move of the BJP after forming Govt.

March 29's cabinet meeting had kept the SSA teachers' regularization matter uncertain, as Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced that SSA teachers can continue their jobs till Central Govt continues the fund, but there is no talk about regularization.

SSA teachers played a vital role to led the BJP to win the election.

Before the Election Tripura CM Biplab Deb promised in various rallies that as soon as the Govt will come in power within 3 months the SSA teachers will be regularized. Not only this, during hunger strike of the SSA teachers on August-2017 Ratan Lal Nath, Biplab Deb, Sunil Deodhar themselves in front of media promised that after BJP govt comes they will be regularized.
