AGARTALA, Dec 31 (TIWN): In the politically motivated case against Ex-CPI-M Minister Badal Chowdhury, negligence of State CPI-M leaders alleged and carelessness attitude to bring eminent advocate as Bikas Ranjan Bhattacharjee for beach hearing led the delay in getting bail for Badal Choudhury, although it was Bikas Bhattacharjee who was successful to drop 2 charges against Badal Chowdhury from High Court. BJP's politically motivated case against Badal Chowdhury was reportedly a false case without any base and if this case was fought properly from beginning with eminent Lawyers like Adv Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharjee, Badal Chowdhury would have been released long back. But as per Goutam Das's instructions, every hearing is being represented by a new lawyer, even non-Criminal Defense Lawyers in lower courts which failed to secure Badal Chowdhury's release from Jail on this fabricated case. From various sources it was found that CPI-M's Goutam Das, Bijan Dhar rather than engaging any expert Criminal Defence Lawyers from Agartala or Kolkata / Delhi, preferring to engage non-Criminal Defence Lawyers who are failing to secure even bail in this false case where no evidence of corruption exists.

Not only that Goutam Das led Tripura CPI-M leadership repeatedly ignored Eminent Advocate Bikash Ranjan Battacharjee's advise on various proceedings on this case.

As a result, Badal Chowdhury still locked in Bisalgarh Jail even though no evidences or anything legally found to hold Badal Chowdhury on any criminal cases. Due to Goutam Das's wrong planning & manipulation, no proper legal defense is so far built up to handle Badal Chowdhuty's case. Various Lawyers are representing this case for various hearings, no co-ordination among different Lawyers. Also its being observed that Opposition Leader Manik Sarkar is allegedly not showing enough interest to engage expert Criminal Defense lawyers to secure Badal Chowdhury's bail.

2 months have completed when state witnessed Police’s naked brutality against a political person who was taken out of ILS hospital in hospital dress by force led by West PS OC-Subrata Chakraborty and pushed Badal Chowdhury into lockup, compelled him to sit with a thief and then Police leaked the CCTV footage with BJP’s IT Cell. Badal Chowdhury’s health drastically downed on that day, admitted in hospital again, but against OC-Subrata Chakraborty, CPI-M filed no case neither against any police brutality.

All what CPI-M did is to organize massive rallies in support of  Badal Chowdhury instead of the actual ground.

When various advocates are being sent in various hearings and few of the advocates are together fighting BJP and CPI-M’s cases both, who will represent Badal Chowdhury on January 9, 2020 not sure.
