AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Dec 28 (TIWN): On the occasion of Congress’s 135th foundation day, Tripura Congress leader Gopal Roy has lashed out at the BJP challenging Congress to end the era of BJP’s tyranny in Tripura as well as in India. This was the 135th foundation day of the party, when nationwide Congress is observing the day. Gopal Roy, who was addressing media at Banamalipur, where Congress organized programme, paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Roy said, “In the year 1885, 28th December, the Congress Party was founded. The Indian National Congress conducted its first session in Bombay from 28–31 December 1885 at the initiative of retired Civil Service officer Allan Octavian Hume. The Congress removed 200 years long rural British Govt and in exchange of much sacrifice Congress gifted India freedom on 1947, 15th Augustâ€.
Roy mentioned, when the British went out of India, India was unable to make a needle also but today India is making ships and exporting to other countries.

Roy said, “Today India is strong due to Congress and when Congress is week then India’s condition goes down just like in last 6 years India’s economy is suffering. When country is reeling under problems and onion like commodities prices are high then Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman says, she doesn’t eat onion and so has no problem with the rise. Tomorrow rice prices will go high and what would the Finance Minister say then ?”
He said, Congress will come in power again and fix everything. Gopal Roy also added that in Tripura also a Congress Govt to be formed.
