State level Fish Festival begins, CM opts for Rs. 700 crores  per year crores from pisciculture

AGARTALA, Dec 13 (TIWN): State level Fish Festival has started in Tripura today at the International trade ground located at Hapania.

CM Biplab Deb, Minister of Fisheries NC Debbarma, MLA Mimi Majumder and higher officials of the dept remained present on that occasion.

Addressing on the occasion, Chief Minsiter Biplab Deb said that per year at least 700 crores are going away from Tripura to outside whereas if the production could be developed and scientific methods could be applied then, Rs. 700 to Rs. 800 crores could be saved and making Rs. 500 in 3 years.

Deb said that Tripura has high potentialities for fishing industry and can massively increase state’s revenue and growth.
