Agartala, November 1 (TIWN): Heritage Park, one of the elite refreshment sites in capital of Tripura is shaping up as location of filthy anti-social activities in state filled with poor maintenance of administrative supervision in spite of its newly fledged glamorous outlook.

The entry times inside the park is allotted from 10 AM to 5 PM during winter and 10 AM to 6 PM during summer with a paltry amount of Rupees 10 per head count and extra facility given to the morning walkers with extra facility of keeping the site open from morning 6 AM to 8 AM.

Advantages were also provided to regular visitors by giving discounted entry pass facility at a cheap rate of Rupees 25 per head count. But questions rise on thorough monitoring of the site as there is a strict limit of stay of 2 hours inside the park, that has been overlooked and reluctantly managed by supervisors of the park.

Issues related to eve teasing has scaled inside the park, which has risen despite promising commitments made by the authority to assure the visitors by marking it as a culturally clean place of refreshment in Agartala.

“People enters the park, but nobody notices the activities that goes inside the park shaming dignity of many young girls and ladies who visits the place often after sunset,” said a woman victim being a prey of eve-teasing inside the park.

Moreover, the locality outside the park is insecure for many localites moving through the place with flashing report of auto-rickshaw drivers gossiping outside usually are noticed to have gather in dark shades of the park arena to smoke ganja.

“This is quite obvious that few auto-rickshaw drivers land up here every day begin a gossip session, smoke ganja and also being heard of playing cards based on gambling,” said a tea seller who runs a stall situated in front of the park to earn his livelihoods.
