AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN) : Tripura Police's illegal activity and brutality continues unabated across the whole state. A poor Dalit boy of 19 years was brutally murdered by RK Pur Police when he was in custody under SI Pritam Datta. Whole state is condemning such inhuman act of Police.

Police are saying that he died out of his illness, but the Post mortem report submitted by Gomati Police, is suspected to be manipulated. Because it took a long time to get the post mortem report and yet undisclosed, whereas TIWN has received exclusive videos which is showing that the whole process of post mortem is done in an illegal manner, RK Pur police and Gomati District Hospital doctors was involved in the post Mortem of Mangal Das's dead body in night. According to law, no post mortem is allowed in night whereas these videos are showing how in deep night hours, his body was taken for post mortem which is completely illegal.

Lawyers Team visited Police torture victim Late Mangal Das’s home

On Monday, All India lawyer Union State secretary Haribol Debnath, advocate Bhaskar Debbarma and other members visited victim's house and spoked with his mother, who lost her child just for the aggression of police and seeking for justice.

The Union members have filed complaint to Police Accountability Commission against such illegal acts of police and demanded for immediate action against the barbaric case of killing accused in custody.

Reportedly, On 23 October, a person named Mangal Das was beaten by local people of Dhwajanagar as they suspected him as a thief and handed him to Gomati police. On 24 October they took the accused on his AmarNagar house and beaten him infront of his family members and took him im remand for 7 days.on Thursday morning accused's mother received a call from Radha KishorePur PS and said that her son is critically ill and admitted in Hospital. But after going there she found her son dead. And when she got almost senseless after seeing her son in such condition, police took her thumb impression in a white paper without her consent and burnt Mangal's body.

People of Tripura are loosing the faith on Tripura police and the system of 'Law and Justice'. Police's brutality is increasing day by day. In last few months, such cases has been lodged against police but no action was taken so far. The Govt, as usual have no answer about such inhuman incidents that shook the soul of people and made them question on the existence of humanity .
