AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): Replacing “Manikâ€, Tripura was gifted by a fake HIRA of the Modi Govt and this dialogue has now become common men’s stand across Tripura.
Burdens of taxes when hitting the public and cess was imposed on fuel with fake promise of PWD road maintenance, now 5% tariff is imposed on the common men whoever will have Rs. 400 power bill.
At the same time, taxes imposed on pensions, Govt hospital service, hike of municipality bill etc etc.
In a shock for the common men, Power Minster Jishnu Debbarma announced today that those who will have above Rs. 400 bill, they will only have to pay 5% excise duty otherwise not.
The Power Minister also claimed that below Rs. 400 bill payers’ numbers are around 52%
Jishnu Deb Barman added that due to GST it has become one tax system and states lost much power, but Tripura Govt wants to stand on own feet by revenue generation, which has already increased, needs to be increase further.
The tax on electricity was announced by Jishnu Deb Barman amid statewide agitations going on against continuous tax hikes instead of self-investment.
In Kamalpur rally, former CM Manik Sarkar slammed the BJP Govt for continuous hikes of commodity prices fueled by cess , tax impositions on the petrol, diesel.
Sarkar also warned public saying that tax on power, water, drain cleaning, cremation ground are nothing but BJP Govt to impose more taxes on public in the coming days more and more.
“Whatever free facilities were given Left Govt, all are snatched now. But before the Election, BJP did not say that it will impose burdens on the common men. The party didn’t say in Vision Document that central will not fund for the state”, said Sarkar.
The former Chief Minister further criticized the Central BJP Govt for massive economic fall and devastating country’s economic status badly in last 5 years, generated lowest ever GDP and highest ever unemployment rate.
