AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): Tension erupted in the Melarmath area in Agartala as CPI-M Headquarter was attempted to be raided by police without any prior notice or search warrant. All of a sudden huge numbers of police personnel covered the party office and stopped the entrance.

The reason for the raid could not be known yet but suddenly media persons were informed about the raid via sources and immediately police rushed to the CPI-M party headquarter.

CPI-M leader Narayan Kar who was rushing behind police said, how they would know about the raid reason as nobody was informed.

When police rushed to the upstairs then former Minister Manik Dey came out and asked the police what is the reason behind the raid and how without warrant they entered in the house ?

Then police said, they have SDM order but could not show any paper and then police stepped down of the second floor.
