AGARTALA, Oct 10 (TIWN): ‘News Today’ TV Channel Editor cum Director Sourajit Pal was attacked by a group of goons on yesterday at the Dasami Ghat, erupted massive resentment in the state media world as no action yet has been taken against the accused persons even after complaints were lodged.

In a surprise it was informed that in the presence of a cop this brutal attack on the TV channel Director took place. 

In a press release, ‘News Today’ team said, on 9th October in the presence of Battala Outpost OC-Sahadeb Bhowmik, a group of miscreants led by Bappa Nandi attacked Sourajit Pal, severely injuring him on his head.

Sourajit Pal was attacked with sharp weapons on his head and then showing pistol his gold chain was snatched.

Local people took Sourajit Pal to the hospital in critical condition. Atleast 6 stiches were given to Mr Pal on his head at the IGM hospital.

Today he was shifted in ILS Hospital. So far no arrest of the miscreants is reported.

The media house has scheduled to go in massive protest in democratic way, sought common men’s cooperation.
