AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): After the plea of 10323 teachers for reviewing Supreme Court’s verdict which ordered termination 10323 teachers on June, 2020 once ad-hoc tenure ends, was dismissed in the High Court on yesterday, tensions have gripped the teachers as after 8 months under Supreme Court’s order the teachers ad-hoc job continuation to meet an end. So far, Govt of Tripura could not come up with a plan how to end 10323 teachers problems, which was promised by its party BJP in Vision Document before the election. Recently the 10323 ad-hoc teachers had filed a case in the High Court in plea of restoration of their jobs with various legal points, added points of all the then recruitment must be cancelled which were done during 10323 teachers recruitment.
Tripura High Court division bench Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Arindam Lodh have issued the order. In the judgment it was written, “Instant petitioners seeking review of judgement which is not permissible in law and more so on the doctrine of merger. We hasten to add that the issues stand decided only as the Hon’ble Supreme Court granted liberty allowing the instant petitioners to agitate the same before us”.
The court further stated, “State is duty bound, under the constitution, to see proper and effective implementation of the judgment rendered by the Apex Court. In view of above discussion, the present bunch of instant writ petitions, being an abuse of process of law and speculative in nature, stand dismissed”.
Earlier, the 10,323 teachers said Govt’s decision of continuation of 10323 teachers jobs as ad-hoc is arbitrary. The petitioner claimed many teachers were appointed at the same time but their jobs were not cancelled.
