AGARTALA, Oct 3 (TIWN): Tripura SFI, CPI-M’s students wing has slammed the BJP Govt for the ongoing massive powercut problems throughout the state.
Addressing in an agitation before the TSECL office in Agartala SFI State Secretary Sandipan Deb accused the BJP Govt for reinstallation of the lost hurricane-lamp-culture from house to house and filling up markets by these hurricane lamps.
“In our childhood we used hurricane-lamps because of load-shedding. The previous Left Govt after many attempts ended that massive load-shedding problem and Tripura became self sufficient in power generation, but the BJP came in power with Cholo Paltai slogan and taking back Tripura to the previous ages”, Deb said.
Sandipan deb slammed the BJP Govt further for not giving permission for the deputation programme.
SFI said, if in Durga puja same situation goes on, then amid festival protests will be organized.
CPI-M’s youth wings SFI, DYFI, TYF have gone in a massive protest today voicing against the ongoing load-shedding problems and a ‘dhana’ was staged before the TSECL office.
The rally announced as “unpermitted” as even after two times’ request for deputation programme to the TSECL CMD over the ongoing power crisis situation, no permission was granted led the opposition youth wings to stage a protest before TSECL office in Agartala.
DYFI Tripura General Secretary Nabarun Deb said that this protest was necessitated because the demand is all about ‘undisrupted’ power supplies in Durga puja. Deb hit Power Minister Jishnu Deb Barman for his failure to curb load-shedding problems even after promising.
Tripura is reeling under massive power cut problems for 6 months at least. Amid load-shedding problems, Tripura sells out 80% of its Electricity to other states, countries.
