AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN) BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Wednesday remembered and paid tributes to the party's veteran leader Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary.

In Agartala Party headquarter, BJP paid tribute to Upadhaya in the presence of Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma, MP Rebati Tripura.

In Tripura also, senior BJP leaders and party workers participateed in several public welfare initiatives including Swachhta campaign, plastic free India campaign to celebrate the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

Ministers, MPs, MLAs, BJP  office bearers and party workers are taking part in birthday celebration across the state. Deendayal Upadhyaya was an Indian thinker of RSS ideology, and former leader of the political party Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the forerunner of Bharatiya Janata Party.
