Agartala, Sep 25 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb attended the State level programme for observance of Ayushmann Bharat Diwas at Agartala on wednesday. While addressing Shri Deb acknowledged PM Shri Narendra Modi ji for starting the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which has already become a life savior for many. On this day, he met a young man whose life has been changed because of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Mr Mijanur Rehman from Sonamura, Tripura was bedridden for past seven years and he was not able to speak. He had lost all his hope for life but the local party workers helped him in making Ayushman Bharat card. Through Ayushman Bharat scheme he has gone through treatment in NIMHANS,Bangalore. Mijanur and his entire family has thanked PM Narendra Modi.

“Ayushman Bharat is not only for the antyodayas but for the betterment of the hospitals, its maintenance,” he added. Shri Deb said that he does not believe in Divide and Rule policy as the whole Tripura is dear to him. He then spoke about Ayushman Bharat scheme. The scheme aims at making interventions in primary, secondary & tertiary care systems, covering both preventive & promotive health, to address healthcare holistically. Presently the state government is determined to provide Ayushman Tripura card to every BPL / Antyodayas by March 2020 by investing Rs. 3,57,000 including the 86,000 people who were not given the card as they were not communists.

Deb also picked the topic of ESMA being brought in Tripura. He said thieves fear law. “Those who do not want to keep proper system in Tripura, they are only against ESMA law. Nobody can skip their duties. Those who don’t skip their duties, they don’t have anything to worry. Therefore, the laws which I bring are solely for the betterment of Tripura, to bring system in the state,” said Chief minister Shri Deb. He briefed about the new law made for juveniles under 18 to avoid accidents due to rash driving. If caught driving , their parents will be charged a fine of Rs.25,000.

Deb stressed on selflessness and urged everyone to perform their duties responsibly without having to force. This can be learnt from the mothers as they understand already knows what the child wants even before saying. He said “I can quickly suspend employees but I should not need to follow that policy if everyone becomes responsible enough”. Shri Deb cited the example of Rani Lakshmibai who carried her child on her back and fought the battle. He said if Laxmibai made excuses then we would have not known her name today. Adding to that Shri Deb said, “I want to end inspector raj in Tripura”. It will end only when we realize our duties & be responsible.
