AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Surendra Singh, known for his controversial behaviour, has been finally booked for allegedly abusing and threatening a government official here. With the bold move of the bureaucrats in Uttar Pradesh where a brutal Yogi Govt is ruling are raising voices, now eagers in Tripura to see when Tripura Police or Officials also will wake up against the uncountable insults done to them under the muscle power of the ruling party’s particular few leaders ? The issue raises as BJP MLA candidate Mimi Majumder has violated model code of conduct during voting procedures and threatened police officials asking their names for “future revenge”. Under 18 months of the BJP Govt, few new faces in Tripura ruling party politics continue to temper the democratic environment of the state by unruly activities. When MP (via rigging) Pratima Bhowmik, MLA Ram Prasad Pal like people continued to hit the news headlines after threatening Govt officials time to time, today during the Assembly by election in the Badharghat constituency Tripura got one more in the anti-social row who is none other than BJP candidate Mimi Majumder who has shocked netizens by her unruly behavior against police officials after police stopped gathering of BJP activists who were roaming across the booths in groups of 20 to 25 persons.

Earlier, MLA Ram Prasad Pal also came under severe controversies when he threatened police officials two – three times on camera. Pratima Bhowmik too threatened IPS Officer Kiran Kumar saying, “Terkeo hum abhi maar dalega”, but question is when the officials of Tripura wake up just like in the BJP ruled state Uttar Prasdesh bureaucrats have started raising voices.

Uttar Pradesh Incident : BJP MLA Surendra Singh, known for his controversial behaviour, has been booked for allegedly abusing and threatening a government official here.

The action was taken after an official in the state electricity department submitted a written complaint against the lawmaker.  A case has been registered on the basis of the complaint and investigations are on, the police said, adding that further action will be taken on the basis of evidence.

According to reports, Ram Kishore, Superintending Engineer in the electricity department, has alleged that the MLA had called him on his mobile phone and pressurised him to transfer a junior engineer.  When Kishore tried explaining to Surendra Singh the difficulties in doing so, the MLA used foul language and threatened him, the official alleged.  Kishore had forwarded copies of the complaint to the senior officials of his department, the administration and the police along with audio recording of the said conversation. He also alleged that there was threat to his life.
