AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): Addressing media against the ongoing Health Dept’s fee charging issue Tripura CM Biplab Deb said our of 286 tests the previous Govt used to take at least 148 tests’ prices from the poor people as well as APL poor, but now the families under ‘Antyodya-membership’ will take all tests at free of cost.

“The people who are established businessmen or getting 7th pay commission they can give subsidy but how the poor people can give ?”, CM said.

“Previous Govt took subsidy from poor, APL same in various tests. Under families of ‘Antyodaya-membership’  all tests are now free but previous Govt kept fees for 148 tests from poor as well as APL”, said CM.

He also announced that under NHM all tests to remain free which is Centre’s project. However, AC cabin and food etc to be matter of price whereas food will be only chargeable for the APL families.
