AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): Hitting the opposition CPI-M, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Wednesday while inaugurating new Khowai Court Building said that under the previous Govt only ganja plantation was known as development, whereas the poor people could not get the benefits of central funds.
“Those moneys were only received by the mafias and no one else. Those illegal funds has been the resource of crime against women. We will not sell the land of Tripura, neither will allow to sell it by others”, said Deb.
“I need not to learn economy from corrupt people, I learn from PM Modi. Under PM Modi 2.15 lakhs families were registered under farmers’ welfare scheme. In 3 installments Rs. 6000 rupees have been given in the accounts of farmers”.
He further criticized the previous CPI-M Govt for not buying paddies from farmers under FCI.
