AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): Hindi is a lifeline of Bharat, the language Hindi has contributed to a lot in National Integration and the overall development of India said Prof. V. L. Dharurkar, Vice-Chancellor while giving the presidential address in the Hindi Fortnight organized by TU in the Central Library. Prof. Dharurkar also mentioned that Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi, Father of Nation, Dr. Baba Sahib Ambedkar have contributed to getting the National Language status of Hindi and now a days China, Japan and America and other countries are giving importance of Hindi in their academic curriculum where many research activities are also going on in Hindi. In the corporate world also the Hindi language is getting momentum importance he added. He said for better administration and implementation of welfare oriented scheme Hindi is essential in our country.
President of the program, Dr. Milan Rani Jamatia, Asst. Professor of Hindi said campaigning and development of Hindi language is essential and should be taught in School and College level. Hindi Officer, Muneendra Mishra presented the program schedule of the Fortnight. In this program, Dr. B. Sanjay, Librarian, Dr. R. K. Mahaparta, HoD, Library Science, Champeswer Mishra, Dy. Librarian and other dignitaries were present. Dr, Kalicharan Jah, Asst. Professor of Hindi proposed a vote of thanks.
