AGARTALA, Sep 3 (TIWN): On the 3rd day of Tripura Assembly, Chief Minister Biplab Deb said that crime against women in State has heavily decreased.
“Crime against Women has drastically reduced in Tripura since we took over the Gov't”, said Deb.
After the Assembly, CM in a social media post said, “I sincerely thank Tripura police, State Administration and people of Tripura for their commendable work & support on restricting crime against women”.
Here is the data-
• 6% decrease in overall registration in 2018 as compared to 2017
•Dowry torture cases has-been reduced by 12% in 2018 then 2017
•Rape case registration decreased by 5% in 2018 then 2017
•Molestation cases decreased by 18% in 2018 then 2017
•Dowry deaths reduced by 45% in 2018 then 2017
•Eveteasing reduced by 33% in 2018 then 2017
Out of 82 cases under POCSO act 84 persons have been arrested.
