MP Jiten Chowdhury left for South America, Mexico as part of prestigious ' Indian Goodwill Delegation of Parliamentarians' : Is CM now scared of Jiten's popularity at National and International level?

NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, October 26 (TIWN): Udoubtedly he was the most successful Minister of Industry & Commerce, Forest alongwith former Finance Minister Badal Chowdhury, he was the the most efficient ,successful and honest Minister of Tripura Cabinet. But Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and Co. did not like his ever increasing popularity as a state leader and immediately the ' Blue Print' was made to make him inactive and send him to oblivion of Parliamentary Politics like we have seen in the case of Bajubon Reang and Khagen Das, who played the role of silent spectators in Indian Parliament. But within 6 months Jiten Chaudhury proved that he is Tripura MP with a difference and vision. He became Chief Whip of CPI(M) Party in the Lok Sabha. And now the only MP from the entire North-Eastern India to be a part of ' Indian Goodwill Delegation of Parliamentary Affairs' which will visit Mexico and South American countries Chile, Argentina to meet Parliaments and those countries Presidents to enhance relationship with India.

Saturday late night  at 1.30am the team left New Delhi for Frankfurt enroute to Mexico. As of now it is scheduled that on 5th November late night the team will return to India.

Jitendra Choudhury is the only MP from the North-Eastern Region to be part of this high level team of Indian delegates headed by Sri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, the Minister of State(Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Textiles and MoS in Parliamentary Affairs River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. Delegation comprises Nine Lok Sabha MPs, Three Bureaucrats, One Minister. The team has already left for Frankfurt and from there they will reach Mexico by early morning of 26th October and stay there 26 to 29th October. After this the team will head for Buenos Aires , the capital of Argentina. And here it will stay up to 31st October. From Argentina the team will be heading for Chile and will remain there up to 4th of November.

It is now scheduled that that the team will return to India after the midnight of 5th November. It is to be noted here that the name of Jitendra Choudhury has been chosen by top heads of Prime Ministers Office and Foreign Ministry. What is more interesting is that BJP has its MP in Assam but the BJP led Govt has selected Jitendra Choudhury, one of the most tech-savvy and efficient Ministers in Parliament from North East India. This is certainly a warning sign for Manik Sarkar & Co as their plan of pushing out Jiten from State Politics didn't succeed. With excellent leadership and inter-personal skills, Jiten became well known in National Politics.

Most of the people still believe that  honest and efficient Ministers like Badal Chowdhury or Jitendra Choudhury could have been a better Chief Minister than tainted Manik Sarkar.  Karat lobby will never make other efficient Tripura leaders like Badal or Jiten Chowdhury as CPIM Politbureau members in order to maintain supremacy of its most favoured Manik Sarkar. But this step has become one of the biggest blunders of Manik Sarkar as an MP too Jiten Chowdhury has made huge impact and now he is regarded as a national level leader. BJP could have easily selected any  MP of its party from NE  or pick-up other Congress or CPIM MPs from West Bengal or North East but Jitendra Chowdhury's name is a clear indication that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's office  too is aware of his efficiency as a Former Industry & Commerce Minister of Tripura.

What remains to be answered is whether Manik Sarkar , the so called "Mr White" from Tripura, is now scared of Jiten Chowdhury's flamboyancy fueled by fluency in English and Technology savvy MP ?  It is a matter of pride that someone from our state has been selected for such a prestigious parliamentary mission. Speaking exclusively to this correspondent MP Jitendra Chowdhury said ," Actually compared to other parts of America, the relationship of these countries as far as bureaucracy, political issues are concerned are not as good as it is expected. During our visit we will meet with our Indian counterparts like Parliamentarians, heads of States,  President and Prime Ministers are concerned and we will do our best to improve India's relationship with South American nations. However, we will return to India by late night flight on 5th November. The 13 members delegation comprises Nine MPs from BJP, NCP, AIADMK, DMK, TMC, Congress ,  Three senior officials, and headed by Union Textile Minister Santosh Gangwar.
