12,000 posts recruitment issue again raised as 10323 teachers ad-hoc ending soon

AGARTALA, Aug 16 (TIWN): It was on October 5 that Supreme Court had issued stay order on State Govt's 12000 nonteaching staffs' recruitment and on that time the then Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty said, "Can anybody prove these posts we created for 10323 teachers ?" But today no unemployed youths has interest for those posts but 10323 teachers have demanded those recruitment. Now 2 questions are there : 1) Will the BJP Govt follow the Walk In Interview process like CPI-M Govt ? 2) Has Supreme Court asked Govt to disobey the MHRD rules ?

Even though the irregularities in recruitment  in CPI-M era under officers like Banamali Sinha held, the former Education Director, but no action has been taken against him. After 12000 non-teaching posts were advertised, Chief Secretary in 2017 Sanjeev Ranjan, Sushil Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Govt of Tripura, Education Department, Nirmal Adhikari , Addl Secretary to the Govt of Tripura , Education Department(School) were served notices. However, the charges against the officials are removed. On August 2nd Court has dismissed the petition saying there is no necessity of contempt of court. The teachers told the Supreme Court that whether the terminated teachers will get jobs from 13000 posts it’s not sure but they ‘may’ get jobs and as a result urged the Supreme Court to permit for the recruitment. Teachers said, “It’s a massive victory for 10323 teachers and Govt can save teachers’ lives”.

The five categories under which these 12000 (+1000 social welfare dept) posts have been created are :-
1) Academic Counsellor
2) Students Counsellor
3) School Library Assistant
4) Hostel Warden5) School Assistant
All these appointments, if indeed done, will be for performing non-teaching assignments and quite interestingly no where India any such posts exist nor the Union Human Resource Ministry has asked any state govt to recruit in these posts in order to implement the Right To Education Act 2009 properly.

But, the eligibility criteria themselves are invalid as for School Library Assistant state govt specified Graduate degree along with 5 years teaching experience as desired/required qualification. But the fact is that for such post at least Degree or Diploma in Library Science is essential.

For Hostel Warden's post state cabinet set up Graduate Degree along with 5 years teaching experience as required qualification.

On that time meeting the Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty, the Library Science graduates asked Minister Tapan Chakraborty on May-31, 2018 how the library science graduates will gather teaching experience ? Which school will provide a librarian a teaching job ?

Neither Govt nor private schools can appoint a Librarian or Asst Librarian as an Asst Teachers across the world. So how the librarians will gather teaching experience for 5 years ?

In the similar fashion for non-teaching posts Govt asked 3 or 5 years of teaching experience for each posts.

Now it’s to be seen how BJP led Tripura Govt handles this issue as Supreme Court permitted the recruitment but the recruitment-process can not be violated and has to follow MHRD’s rules.
