AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): Hitting the previous years’ allocations of nursing seats for Tripura students led by Education Dept, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has ordered probe into the scams took place under the Communist regime.
This issue was raised by opposition various times in press conferences and also in the Assembly during CPI-M era.
Calling sending students in unauthentic Colleges is a major scam, Biplab Deb recently said that none of those corrupt officials will be spared for selecting those colleges even though these courses were funded by central govt.
The alleged corruption was related to the GNM, ANM admissions of Madhyamik and HS passed out students. According to the opposition parties alleged previously, nothing is known what is the process of student’s admission in such courses and the scam was not only about selection of students but also about seat allocations without following merit list.
Whereas Central Govt. has allocated 100 % sponsorship, it’s clearly said that there is no limit for students, Tripura Govt. has selected only 348 Students, whereas applicants were around 3000 (Year-2016 incident).
Opposition alleged, there are zero possibility of students to get job outside state after passing out from those vague Colleges.
At least 1 lakh had been taken from each and every student for the admission.
In 2016, the vogue 9 Colleges selected by Tripura Govt. are :
1) Josco College of Nursing-which has no Affiliation, 2)Mahatma Gandhi College , where students before 2 years held protest not to do class in this College, 3)Maitreyi at Hyderabad which has no hospital, 4) Venkateswara at B;lore also has no hospital, 5)Sri Krishna Rakamari, which is based on a Rent house & also more 4 Colleges---------Violating all rules of Central Govt.’s scheme.
Similar incidents were repeated years after years, which has been ordered for probe now by the BJP Govt.
