AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb led Govt of Tripura has is working to diminish flood related miseries per year in Tripura. To start from the root cause of damages, Rs. 67.49 crore’s project of Water Resource Dept has been sanctioned for flood protection and to stop soil erosion.

Total Rs. 67.49 crores have been sanctioned under this project, an official said.

For flood protection and anti-erosion at bank of river Khowai to at Netajinagar total 55,43,560 rupees have been sanctioned.

For Nayabari, Khowai river 55,24,549 rupees have been allocated and for Rajmondol area under Khowai river bank Rs. 85.13, 809 was sanctioned.

Nayanpur area under the same river gets Rs. 40,33,628 and Kamalanagar gets Rs. 58,48,773.

Under Khowai river Kuchpura area received Rs. 63,45,909 and Dwarikapur gets Rs. 96,16,129.

The South LN Pur has been allocated with Rs. 65,18,820. Paharmura area has gotten Rs. 1,39,88,692.

In Haora river bank’s Champaknagar area has received 72,39,421 rupees, Radhamohonpur gets Rs. 1,00,26,254.

Madya Assam Para under Hoara has received 78,76,335 rupees and Ranir Bazar gets Rs. 74,87,271.

Baldakhal which is one of the first flood hit area in West District has got Rs. 2, 55, 94, 163.

West Champaknagar near Brick Kiln gets Rs. 1,82,81,556 under Haora.

Then for Burima river at Kumcha’s Dayarampara gets Rs. 87,79,200. Briddhibazar gets Rs. 58,52,800.

Biplab Das Para area of Gomati river bank Rs. 1,56, 58, 647 has been sanctioned.

In same way Dhalai, Gomati river’s other areas, Manu, Juri rivers’ affected areas have also been benefited.

Govt of Tripura also has demanded for a special package to end flood problems in Tripura permanently as every year due to flood not only public properties but also Govt undergoes losses. Farmers’ distress remain high. Govt has started working on to down such flood led damages.
