Agartala, July 19 (TIWN / TU): Dr. V. Sree Hari Rao has delivered a plenary talk at IVRAMA 2019 which is aimed at inculcating the concept of multidisciplinary research and innovation among the students and researchers. The subject mathematics has become truly interdisciplinary due to its penetration into several real-world domains through modeling in physical, biological, behavioral, medical, social and engineering sciences. The main strategy to conduct research in these areas dwells in promoting the idea of productive modeling which combines the past (Known) information with the present and is capable of predicting the future (both short time and long time). The tools needed for this activity include among other Mathematical Technique, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics.

This talk has the potentials of providing effective solutions to the following vital problems of high concern to the society.

 How to recognize a person in the crowd, when partial information pertaining to the years in available, How to estimate the life of a transplanted organ in a human body? Transplanted kidney in an individual. How to estimate the survival life of an individual with several diseases? Can we predict the 'fatigue' undergone by a machine well ahead, before failure occurs due to fatigue? especially in the case of airplane components. Hoe to know which paliatise treatment- radiation chemotherapy or a combination of both would enhance the survival of cancer patients? How to navigate the vision impairment (near glaucoma) individuals to attend to their works without human assistance?

The International Conference ICRAMA 2019 has succeeded in establishing a platform for the exchange of scientific thought and ideas among the delegates across the globe. Now the Vice-Chancellor of the TU Prof. V. L. Dharurkar has decided to establish a Research Foundation in Tripura University. This foundation would provide the necessary stimulus for the conduct of innovative research to the faculty and students in all discipline of this University besides rendering vital growth. Also, this foundation is envisioned to play a pivotal role in the development of the state of Tripura. Another significant accomplishment of this foundation lies in promoting entrepreneurship among the students through the establishment of an "Incubation Centre" that leads to the "Startup Culture". Indeed, these activities will strengthen the "Make in India" initiatives of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India.
